I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question (No) - Did Life Like ever make it's KFC kit in N scale?

Does anyone own an HO kit, maybe still in the box. I don't want to buy an HO version, I want scans of the parts to make an N scale version.

Hmm, maybe?  I have the Life Like N scale Burger King, and I seem to have this feeling that they also made N scale models of other fast-food joints.

However with 3-D printing it should not be too difficult for someone to whip out one of those structures.  Signs should be easy to make o any computer printer.

That juggled my memory - yes it was a Pizza Hut.

Pretty sure my dad has the HO one around somewhere, next time I talk to him I'll see if he can dig it up and send it out. I'd be interested in an N one eventually

I'd appreciate the effort.

Slightly related... I was talking to my wife over a week ago about how KFC has backslid on quality since when I was a kid (I'm a mid-1960s baby) and how I missed family nights out of a bucket. Funnily, we were out a few nights ago at one of those conveyor belt sushi joints and, in between trying to convince my sushi-crazed 11 year old she didn't need to try two of everything, the wife and I shared an order of fried calamari (I know, fried food at a sushi place... Portland, go figure...). Damned if it didn't taste just like the good ole' KFC chicken of my youth. It made me crave mashed potatoes.

Still, better than any era of KFC though, I miss Royal Farms chicken most of all. Having eaten so much Royal Farms in my twenties, I now associate the smell of gasoline with fried chicken and, from when I drove a truck, I smell diesel and instantly crave a Jersey diner steak.

Yes, KFC is not what it used to be 30 years ago.  I now eat my fried chicken at Popeye's Chicken.  While not really like KFC I really like their breading, and love their Mardi Gras sauce for chicken strips.  Their mashed potato and cole slaw are also pretty tasty.

As long as we're talking chicken joints, my favorite, by far, was Kenny Rogers' Roasters.  Wood-fired chicken on a spit, with spicy baked beans and excellent corn bread muffins.  My old college roommate came to visit one time, and we went there for lunch.  He saw that he could buy their BBQ sauce by the tub, and bought some for the ride home (sans chicken).

Favorite here as Pioneer Chicken...they fried their chicken in pressure cookers (as I recall) and had the CRISPIEST chicken! Not only has KFC dropped the quality, they have RAISED the prices. Try to find anything that isn't on special for under $10 (2 piece chicken combo $11) and a bucket meal (once upon a time they were only $10) for less than $30 (8 piece chicken meal $29.99)
