I have found this on Facebook

N SCALE - If you are signed up to our monthly emails, you received this from Stan. The third run of the 17 post NSC well cars. This run will include pre-weathered painting and printing. Check out This run's artwork below.  Pre-Orders are open, and they are in production, Quantities will adjust to orders, they will have the new JTC Coupler (R1improvements made) and our New metal wheels.
After this run we will make some modifications to the molding of the 9-post , 11-post, and 17-post NSC cars for coupler screw insertion from below!. And then, the first run of 11-Post cars and the 3-unit draw-bar connected 17-post cars will proceed towards production. We're listening and taking actions. Thank You, for your support. - JTC-Steve

JTC cars are really nice, I'll be down for some of these.

A key point is that they will make a change so that the screw to release the coupler will be moved so that it is accessed from the bottom.  At present, and apparently with the up coming run, if you need to repair or replace the coupler you have to first remove the metal-etched walkway which for me is extremely difficult.  I'll happily purchase more of their cars once they make this change.

I just hope they don’t go all in on the VRK like they’ve done on the pullman cars. You can’t easily convert those cars to alternative coupler designs including mine or traditional MTL (I have a way, but its not “drop in”). Presumably unless they’re doing a lot of re-tooling that shouldn’t be the case on the NSC well cars, but…

I'd definitely be in for some of these if the 9-post and 11-post variants that they are tooling are the earlier series built in 1994 and 1998:
  • 48' NSC 3-car Drawbar 9-post (DTTX series 27000-27623, Built by NSC 4-6/98, TTX Class NWG31)
  • 48' NSC 3-car Drawbar All Purpose 9-post (DTTX series 430120-430199, Built by NSC 6-7/98, TTX Class NWA31)
  • 48' NSC 4-car Drawbar All Purpose 11-post (DTTX series 430000-430119 built by NSC 3/94, TTX Class NWA40)

Cheers!

I had been hoping we would see JTC come out with 40' NSC well cars.  They are abundant and very different from the Kato models.

I will definitely support the cause here but we also need an articulated 53ft well car that isn't Gunderson.

x1000!  A 3-unit articulated NSC set has been #1 on my top-5 list for a long time.  More variety in the 40' fleet would definitely be welcome, but ISO cans are not that common on Tehachapi, so a lower priority for me.

You would have thought Atlas would have done the 3x 53' Thralls by now as well....

Why, did they do them in HO or something?
