I have an Operator N Scale GE ET44C4 made by Scale Trains. When I run the locomotive in one direction around the layout, I have one curve where the freight car behind the loco will derail. When to loco is going the other direction around the layout, all is fine. The layout is complete, so reworking that section of track is not feasible nor desirable.

My usual fix for this is to install a coupler with a longer shank than the original.

Does anyone know if the couplers in this locomotive can be swapped with a MicroTrains coupler (and if so, which ones would work)?

Thanks,
Bart

Looks like. 1015 sans box will fit.  A 1016 sans box should too.
Some mods and complete 1015/1016 with box can be made to fit.
