The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania was the first major museum specifically credited to document, preserve and interpret the rich heritage of railroading.  The wide ranging, compelling and important story of our nation’s railroading – and railroading men and women –is told through the Museum’s historic collection of 100 locomotives and railroad cars, Immersive education center, exhibits, vast library and archives, equipment restoration program and special events.

What the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania has done is incredible.  If only they had an unlimited supply of cash to get every piece they own out of the weather.  I know there’s a already a good number of preserved GG1s, but I’d like to see Old Rivets better protected, since it was the first, and a very unique, GG1.

Thanks for posting.  I agree, this is a great museum.  Definitely worth a visit, especially for any SPF.  It's been a few years since I was there with my family.  It hurt seeing some of the items sitting outside exposed to the elements.  I should plan to visit there again to see what's new/changed.
