John, I'd take a set of these -

That's a 9' wheel base.

Rock Island had very similar cars but with different truck and also truck centers it looks like.

Jason

@wcfn100 , what wheel size is that, 36"?

That's what the equipment diagram says.

I've looked a little for a drawing or picture in any of my proto resources, but have come up empty.  If I come across anything, I'll post it.

@wcfn100 lets PM from here on out.  I have some questions about what you want on that truck.

Received my pair today, almost thought it was a box of mothballs as that's what the smell reminded me of.

The underframe/chassis on the right on the one seems to be shorter and a smaller wheelbase than the other.

Couple pics for now.

That’s how you know Fine N Scale did the castings. Stinky.

I must not have read well enough, and ordered trucks too. But the kits came with them. Oh well. Time to build!

It is the resin. Magnuson Models also used similar "mothball" smelling resin.  It is too bad as Fine N Scale makes excellent castings.  In my experience, they also seem to shrink a bit after few years.  There are plenty good odorless resins out there used by other manufacturers.

Hello all,

I completely missed that these were coming out.
Would love to track down a kit, and a set of trucks.

Any leads, please let me know.

Best,

FYI, these kits are available on the WOT web site and on sale!
Still hunting for an extra set of trucks, but super excited to have a kit now.

Happy 2023.

would our 1017 be a good stand in temporarily?  Spacing should be the same abit the details aren't 100%

Anyone know if these migrated east on the PRR? I've found one in a NYC train in Ontario, but that's about it.
