This is ironic in way of I just rode that three weeks ago and while aboard I had on my NKP-765 hat. The conductor stopped by and we talked for some time. That was Nick.   He did tell us his grandfather was a life long railroad man, which one I don't remember but, he told Nick as a boy that the railroad made a good life for him.   So Nick said that was his calling.  He said he never had so much fun and got paid to do it.   Small world indeed.
