Anyone Try Vallejo Washes for Weathering?

I have done a substantial amount of weathering on 1/35 Armor models as well as competition scale RC planes. I have been a huge fan of the Vallejo Washes since I don't get the speckled effect that I do when trying to use Vallejo paint for Gary's Fading Fast technique. My goal is to weather a few BNSF engines to place on the Canyon Diablo bridge to replicate actual photos I have taken. Please forgive the non MRR subject matter, but here are two pics of results using Vallejo Washes on a RC cockpit. Every item in the pics has had some type of wash applied. Light grays were used on the black items and different browns and tans on most everything else to add dirt, grime and tone the greens down. The photos I recently posted on last weeks Proto Photo show the loco's looking pretty dirty. So, before I screw-up some not-so-cheap BLI ES44's, I thought I'd ask and see if Vallejo Washes have been used in MRR to any success. If not, guess I'm going to find out.

Had really good results using them on a non-MRR project.
Like how it added dimension and scaling and texture.

Dried well and quickly.

Best regards
Michael.
