Has anyone done a Chrysler (Symington Gould-built) truck in n-scale?

You had indicated that the shock absorber/damper is a detail you would be willing to add to any truck.
Out of curiosity, how else, for your needs, does the BLI Symington truck not sufficiently resemble the Symington-Gould truck you're seeking to model?

Appears to be a 70 ton truck vs 50 ton. Wheelbase, journals and spring packs are different.

The more I learn about the GAEX lease cars, the more interested I am. Similar in design to AAR cars like the NP 31000 series cars, they continued onto quite a few other roads. Two different series were built in 1950/51 and 1955. By the mid 1960s they were seen with different reporting marks and paint schemes.



The railway cyclopedia volume 15 should have more info if I can find my copy or track one down.

A whole series of articles on these cars, and various kitbashes and other General American cars was done in Railmodel Journal starting with March, 1990 edition, and continuing in later issues that year (see the article cited by @Lemosteam  for a list).

What are missing, unfortunately, from the electronic edition, are "the free Microscale HO and  N scale decals bound into this issue."

I did see those too! I love trainlife. I also found a copy of the railway cyclopedia volume 15.
I am looking at doing the GAEX lease cars now. Should be a fun project.

I sent a bunch of those photos and info to the guy at K4 decals last winter, in the hopes he gets around to doing them sometime. 

I’ve also seen those decals come up on EBay a few times but not willing to take a chance on anything that old.
