Trust me, the full size PCC is tough to disassemble too.  At least, if you are planning to re-use a lot of it.   8)




ironically, this particular car was re-painted for Baltimore Transit and t-boned a truck two weeks into revenue service.  it is now being repaired by her owners, and the front end looks pretty much the same as this photo at the moment.   /Back on Topic
it's amazing how simple the PCC really was, I really wish that they could make a modern light rail  car with the style and class of the old stuff....

Probably would never pass today's safety requirements.  As far as style goes, I suspect that as many who think those were "classy", as many others think it is ugly and antiquated.

Yeah, I'm one of those people. I much prefer the brightly lit modern light rail cars over the older PCC trolleys. Maybe if you could deck out the PCC trolley in all manner of LEDs, but then it's not really a PCC trolley anymore is it?
