I guess it's a good time for a SPF, although the price could be a problem.



BTW, this time with an Economi decoder. Would be nice if these can be bought separate.

Street price will be less. Hudsons are $439 MSRP and go for $257.99 at MTS/Klein's.  Though that's still not cheap.

When you consider that a Kato/Con-Cor Hudson sold for about $65 (street price) in the late 1980s, $257 30 years later is not out of a line.
That's about a 4% annual inflation rate.  And of course, the new model has much finer detail, better pickup, and built-in DCC.
$400+ is ridiculous.  But $250 isn't.
