Um, how does that locomotive even work?  Waterproof electronics?  (Which would be?...)

judging by  the look of the end the standing water is not too high above the railheads.  Probably nowhere near the electronics.

But remember, flood water is poo water.

This is so true.  In September 1999, Hurricane Floyd came through and put 30" of water in the building where I used to work.  Took us weeks to get that place cleaned out and back into full operation.  I will never forget the smell of that mud for as long as I live.  Months and even years later, we'd move something in the warehouse and find a trace of that mud and the smell.  While we were cleaning out the store, we used to joke, "That ain't mud."  The description of flood water as "poo water" is apropos.

Floodwaters aside, that’s some train! At least 25 matching cars with a window band, shades of NYC?
Too bad we can’t see the power. Got to love the end of train marker, too :P

My guess would be build up enough speed then idle through the water...

And considering the amount of runoff from farms and open sewers still in the world, I would say All water is poo water!  :|

I can tell you how a guy drove a diesel through deep water like that. Get a running start. Shut off the power to the traction motors. And crank up the traction motor blowers. Then have to replace a wheel bearing anyways.
