Check out this old boxcar. Stenciled “50yr old car, not for offline use.”

50 year old car, exPRR class X26 box car , marked for RR service only. Note stenciling on car side. Colehour yard Chicago 1972.

A X26f, nice! These were rebuilt X26c's with new underframes. The X26c were rebuilt X26s with new car bodies, so you could say that the X26 finally metamorphized into an entirely new boxcar.
