Status of Road Apples/Lineside Models/RP Hobbies?

Does anybody know if the most recent manufacturer of the Road Apples N scale vehicles is still business?
Going to http://www.linesidemodels.com/ directs to go to http://www.rphobbies.com/ which is down.  The email link on Lineside site also doesn't work.

Is Richard Plantz still in business?  How to contact him?

Richard packed it in several years ago. I was hoping he was going to do one more run if the econoline ambulances, but he never got around to it.

In light of this information @cfritschle might consider updating the information on the N Sclae Vehicles Assciation site since this is where I got the Lineside Models info.  I would suggest either removing the link from http://nscalevehicles.org/resources.php or mentioning that they are out of business.

Thanks Pete, I will let the web master know.

I wonder who is paying to host the Lineside Models page?  Granted it is only one static page but it still probably isn't free.

Are you interested in picking up that line of vehicles?  :D

Silly me, I forgot about whois.com.   I looked up that domain and it is paid up til 2022 (at least the domain name).  It is owned by Richard Plantz.  He is in Texas.

I'm not going to post it here, but if you go to  https://www.godaddy.com/whois/results.aspx?domain=LINESIDEMODELS.COM and prove that you are not a robot  :)  you will get his address and phone number.

No, I'm not interested in his business.  It just seems strange that the Lineside Models page is still being paid for, if he is totally out of business.

Well, the exact message is "I am in the process of upgrading the software that runs this site. ". You have a point: @daniel_leavitt2000 , What is your source of information that Richard closed up his business?  Did you get that info directly from him? If not, from where?

He stated he was going to sell out of his stock then look at making additional runs of models that sold well. His page referred to an update and his emails started bouncing back. I believe this was sometime in 2008. Lineside was only one of his acquisitions. I believe is  was part of a deal to acquire Vac-U-Cast models, a resin military model producer. They also ran aground around the same time:

Mark, the Showcase N scale mirrors are made specifically for full sized trucks, but their Z scale mirrors are perfect for work pickups.
