LOL.... The the prices are only 1.75X overpriced instead of 2x overpriced...   (But when your entire lineup is MSRP inflated 200% I guess par for the course..

(Shhh don't pay attn to the retailers selling our stuff for 60% off MSRP.. )

Oh come on, this is for their parts, not finished products.  There are some bargains (like GG1 pantographs or coreless motors).  At least as I see it.

Strange that I didn't see an email on that - I usually get their pasts sale emails.  Thanks pjm20!

Yeah.. I get that, but the more 'complete' the part or sub assembly...the more ridiculous the price.

Looking at the N scale parts (specifically GG1).. those parts are reasonable..

But if you look at HO steam.. you get into replacement drives (frame motor with drivers and side rods ect.. for $140 (I can sort of see that ...... what I don't get is.. replacement Tenders for $135... Where I get bent out of shape.. is I can get on Ebay and buy a complete locomotive for $135...

Ohh well.. free market...

I guess I have my N scale blinders on.  :)  I have stocked up on their N scale coreless motors and GG1 pantos at few previous 25% off sales.

I saw a On30 Heisler frame on there for $160, but I can buy a brand new whole loco for $139.

I've always thought that Bachmann tender prices were out of line, but then, they live in a world where they think their poorly detailed freight cars are worth $35 and up MSRP.  But overall, parts prices don't bother me- a couple years ago, they have given me the ability to restore 2 damaged locos to near new condition for a total of about $30.

I will take a look and see if they have re-stocked anything since the Labor Day parts sale (or was it 4th of July?  my sense of time is off this year....) The last parts sale, they just did not have anything in stock that I needed.

Hmmmm.... I am getting an error trying to access the Bachmann "store" online.  Will try again later.
