Built by Clyde Engineering in Sydney, and entering service with the Commonwealth Railways in June 1952, GM10 is the oldest locomotive in regular revenue service in Australia. Now owned by Southern Shorthaul Railroad, today - 8 October 2020 - it worked the Australian Rail Track Corporation's AK track testing cars from Ararat in Victoria to Adelaide, South Australia, seen near journey's end at Belair station in the Adelaide Hills.

Looks more "planted" than "marooned".  Not seeing any indication of an old rail line through there,  And the ties look way too new.  Plus, only the ties at the end of the rail section seem to have tie plates or even spikes.

"Marooned" tends to look more like this caboose in Cambridge, MD.  Once a railroad car, then a personal residence, now a storage shed.

Well, the 3-line URL for the street view didn't work on TRW, but this link gets you to the place in Google Maps, and then you can "street view" for yourself.

That's the one!  The rails under it would scale out to code 22 in N scale.  I have no idea how long it has been there.  But, the rail line has been inactive for decades, and most track has been removed in that vicinity.

A dumb-luck catch of the Arcade and Attica returning to the Arcade station on a dreary Saturday afternoon, doing it's best to enhance the fall colors.

Ah, my hometown railroad.  I'm glad they repainted the coaches back to the orange and black after being Pullman green for a few years.  Some people preferred the green, but orange has been the A&A color since the 44-tonners arrived in 1941.

Thanks Ron!
