Advise needed on removing N scale Con Cor freight car trucks.

I've tried removing trucks from several N scale Con Cor freight cars but it seems like the king pins are glued in.
I've tried prying with a screw driver blade and pulling/twisting with needle nosed plyers but I either destroy the truck or just twist the head of the pin into a mess.
Any suggestions?

I've got some long curved pointy tweezers that I slip under tough to remove trucks.
I just slip them between the frame and the truck bolster, rock the tweezers back like a lever and pop them off.

If its what I think it is - based on my own experience with old Con-cor and one I just looked at, the pin is not so much a king-pin as it is a "clip" ended split pin. Take the body off and I think you will see what I mean.  They fit in much the same what as some early passenger car trucks.  You may be able to "wiggle" the truck off, but it is a matter of luck.

Here is the pin from my junk box (replaced the con-cor truck with MTL a couple weeks ago).  The clip on right side broke off at some point in the last 30 years, but the left still has one.   Sorry for the blurry photo, but it is blown up many times actual size.

Those split pins were used on Con-Cor cars that had SEKISUI (Kato) diecast metal underframes.  But those had very floppy fit and woudl almost fall out by themselves (or with very little persuasion).  I suspect that the cars in question use different underframe/pins.

If you destroy the pin, best fix is to fill the hole, drill and tap for a 2-56 flat head screw to replace it.

If it's a "standard" push-pin mount, a MT or Atlas pin will work.  Clean the hole out with a 5/64 inch drill bit and replace the pin.

MT trucks come with a bushing for replacing the split pins with MT pins.  The instructions are in  the package, but all you do is push the busing in from the top, then push the pin into it.

If you take the floor out, you might be able to drive the stuck push-pin out from the top.  I have a worn-out pin vise with a piece of 1/16 inch brass rod just for that.
