Nice , but the only way I would spend 229.99 for a NW-2 or SW-7 is if looked exactly like an H20-44 in UP paint .

Someone also must have got in their ear about the road numbers they did in HO.

Nos. 30, 31 and 42 were the only NW2's without the stepped hood.

#30 was painted into the red/black at some point but it looks like #42 made it through the merger in original paint (but pretty beat to hell).  All three received new end rails with the stepover for MU operations.

Looks like I'm in for both plus another undec since it's got the Paragon 4 which fixes the lighting issues.  I'll see you in the trading post!

D&TSL is a neat choice... no use to me, but cool nonetheless.

A TH&B NW-2 would probably sell out faster than most roads. The last locomotives done factory painted for them was a special run of Atlas GP7's and LL SW9's done what, 15- 20 years ago?

Since I took the hit after having just painted a pair, you're all welcome.

Now, how do I get them to run well enough to switch out a yard ladder?  The pick up and lack of keep alive means they don't like a Peco yard ladder very much.  I'm probably going to wire two together and see how that works, but another option might be pulling out the Paragon stuff which just seems to make everything harder.

A friend showed up Monday with a pair of PRR units. I have all insulfrog peco switches and they ran great threw my yard ladders?   I will be getting a pair of the EL units when they are available.

Factory Direct Hobbies (BLI's outlet) just announced pre-orders for $183.99.  They're usually on the higher side so I'd expect to see MBK or others offering for somewhere around $169-$180.  Still not cheap but better than $229.99

Judd-
Thanks a bunch!  Your post just caused Mr. Wallet to have a fit!   I ordered a CB&Q SW7 from the first run.
