Looks outstanding! But... that car must weigh a ton, with that solid brass prop!

Total weight with load is .7 oz., still under NMRA recommended weight for a car this length.

Bruce,

That metal roof looks great.  And, I just learned on Model Railroader Video Plus last weekend that the repetitive patterns in the corrugated metal roofing is prototypical and possibly as a result of the manufacturing process.  Kudos!

Goofed around with old trains and elevator musik.

Was Marilyn Chambers in that elevator?   :D

Just a quick test print ..

These type of details are needed on every layout .. signal sheds are everywhere on the railroad .. This one started as an HO model on Thingyverse .. I scaled it down by 55% .. my first test print of this model .. I need to change the orientation and move some of the supports to clean it up more .. but its a good start ..  I can fit about 9 of these on the build plate

One of the two HO layouts I used to regularly operate on (back when you could do that type of thing) was owned by a former dispatcher.

Each scene might not have been 100% true to life but he does a fantastic job of capturing all the signaling and communications infrastructure like those.

It's something I'm trying to become much better about myself and I'm really sad I never got to get that far on my last layout

I agree the roof looks great and would love to know what the weathering process was.

Not to discredit Bruce's excellent modeling but the roof is peel and stick paper printed that way, as I mentioned above.

Achieving that result on the roof was a painstaking ordeal, but well worth the results.
With my short clipped fingernails, I had immense difficulty in finding a firm start when attempting to peel back the printed adhesive roof material. It was only after I enlisted the use of very fine precision point tweezers was I able to finally peel away the printed roof material from it’s backing.
Then, I had to struggle with carefully setting it in place along the roof, and burnishing it securely to the roof was another aspect fraught with difficulty!

LOL... many of the Blair Line, LLC structures come with self adhesive printed roof material...and, while I was initially dubious as to the end result, I believe the effect is very nice and quite believable in N scale.
