That is sooo cool!
And I have the shell of exactly the same thing, a football display case from Michael's, for an Nn3 mine scene. I haven't started it yet as the track components are still in the works. I haven't even started the track plan but have in mind a two tiered thing with the mine in the hills and the tipple loading in the valley. That is totally up to change as I start looking at the reality of it all. Only advantage is Nn3 being smaller yet than your effort. I do love it and envy the creative mind that has the vision in the development stages. I struggle with that. Very cool.
