BLI N scale E trucks - 1st version vs, others

This kinda got lost but I'd still like to know if anybody has both the first version E units BLI made and any of the recent ones. I know the trucks are built differently (but all the same type) but does a later version work on the first run's frame? I need to replace a truck on my first run unit, and BLI doesn't stock those parts anymore.

If you are talking about the offset, fat gear versions of the truck, I actually just ordered two from them very recently. They made me specify that I needed the offset, fat gears, not the ones for the newest run of E units.

Are you using those new trucks on a first-run E unit? The trucks you bought. I'm looking to replace the entire truck on the first-run unit, not try to get new parts for it. If the trucks BLI has in stock now can be used on the first run E is what I'm looking for. I know none of the various E truck runs have interchangeable parts, but wonder if it's possible what's available can be used on the first-run frame.
So nobody on this forum owns a first-run BLI (then PCM) E unit?

I don't see why the newer trucks wouldn't work with the first-run models. They all use the same chassis.

I'm sorry; being so early I must have misread what you were trying to do.

Thanks, Mark. I sent you an e-mail or PM asking you about this since you've examined all the versions so I feel better now about ordering a replacement truck.
