Are the Golden line of paints true acrylics or are they hazardous to spray without a paint both and respirator?

One way to avoid needing a perfect fine mist with an airbrush is to use clear coat as the base and mix in your tints. Then you can spray full coats instead of having to mist on paint.

While I used to be able to fog on Floquil for weathering, the move to heavier acrylics necessitated and move to clear coat base with tints instead of just thinning paint down.
