I always thought that the MDC Waffle side car was also a mix of features from different builders?

I have one I gave to my son because I though it was a foob and he liked the Mine Central Pine Tree logo on it.

No, that pretty much has all P-S features.

You just inadvertently reminded me where I found the pics of those CN ex-NRUC cars  :D

In addition to L&N and NRUC, ITC had similar cars with smaller door openings.

If someone did want to model the MEC cars (built by ACF), I'd think the FVM 7 post car would be a better model to start with.

Here's a follow up question that's related, but in a slightly different direction-

Is there any source for 10' plug doors? The modern post 60's style on the one MDC plug door FMC kit I have measures to 16'.
