Yea, the insides of open cars are sometimes forgotten, but often very photogenic. Not too many topside color photos from the era though... I want to do some with raw steel plate showing.

Maybe that explains the Pennsy hopper I caught in Pasco yard in the very early 70s.  Going to one of the ports on Puget Sound?  I doubt that too many coal-burning ships were calling at Portland by then.
