May 2019 New Releases Part 1
NEW – Baltimore & Ohio Lightweight Passenger Cars!
The AZL release represents cars of the B&O’s named train ‘Columbian’. This streamlined set consisted of dome cars, four coaches, diner and observation car as well as baggage and mail cars. The train operated from New to Chicago with stops in Washington D.C., Pittsburgh and Akron.
The dome cars for the Baltimore & Ohio were the only dome cars that ran in the Chicago-Washington-New York markets. They were termed strata-domes by the B&O and carried names such as ‘Sky’ and ‘High'.
Each car is equipped with AZL’s AutoLatch TM couplers.
