You've actually increased your daily average. I made a prediction you would hit 20k posts between July 10th and 15th using your daily average at that time (Dec 12 2018) You'll beat that by almost two months.

Polish comedy: Abbottski and Costelloski?

*ducks*

That was fun back when I was growing up in Poland.  I didn't expect to find Śmigus-dyngus celebrated in this country, especially in this touchy-feely, politically correct, and everything-is-offensive or degrading times.  Some girls/women might get offended or feel singled-out.  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

Peteski, you're repeating yourself...

BTW, I agree about political correctness... up to a point. IMO, some traditions really deserve to be discontinued. They've lost the context of their origins, and have morphed into something that carry none of their meaning, instead becoming an excuse to act stupid for no good reason.

I don't know what happened there.  I have two possible explanations:

1. I created that post in the middle of the afternoon - my sleepy time.  I might have been sleep-typing.
2. My Bot software has a hiccup bug.  HICCUP, HICCCCUP!

Must be #2.

While it is an old and silly tradition, I don't think it is that bad.  And it is only 1 day a year. When I was a teen in Poland we didn't throw buckets of water at the girls. We mostly used  squirters specially made for the occasion (there was a thriving cottage industry in Poland).  The were soft plastic eggs (about a size of a chicken egg) with molded decorations and a small cap with a tiny hole on one end.  They squirted just a thin stream of water.  Some used shampoo bottles with a slightly larger nozzle.  Just silly harmless fun.  I haven't done that since I left Poland.  I left my egg-squirters in Poland.  :D

But I do agree that some customs would be better left in the past.

I think the traditions are quite varied by location.  I just saw a picture of the (female) Prime Minister of New Zealand doing a "traditional Maori greeting" with (male) Prince Harry of England, where they press together their foreheads and noses.  It made me wonder what would happen in the U.S., where women are expressing outrage at males "invading their persona space" with NON-sexual intent.  And, there is the French "air kissing" in close proximity, ring kissing, etc. etc.  I can just imagine what would have happened to Peteski if he had squirted Hillary Clinton's daughter with water from a plastic egg - probable life sentence!  Better to just play with trains!
