WOT Harriman Baggage cars blowout at Walthers

At $17 each, that's quite a discount. Apparently the 60' reruns didn't do so good. I wish WOT would rerun the 70 baggage cars, which are very hard to find. Also those had a lot of road-specific variations.

The UP one is there and is on sale at $16.95
https://www.walthers.com/60-bagg-exp-up-1845

And in true Walthers fashion, the page reference given under the item, even though the item is clearly marked "N Scale", is:
Walthers Part # 805-409
p. 495 2019 HO Scale Reference Book p. 534 2018 HO Scale Reference Book

Ah yes Max, you're right, I looked at the older schemes only; the Armour Yellow is too modern for my era.
I probably have enough of them already, in both TTG and olive.
Thanks, Otto

The HO reference book is nowadays the only reference book at Walthers- all the N scale is in the HO reference book.  They did not have the good sense to call it the "HO and N scale reference book" or just "Walthers Model Railroading reference book".  I was a sometime customer for the N scale reference book, when there was one.

I see now.  The book actually IS called the "HO-N-Z Reference Book" on its cover and the "Walthers 2019 Reference Book" in the sales page for it.  They just named the link badly.  So apparently, 2016 was the last time they did a dedicated N&Z book.  That shows you how much I pay attention to Walthers.

It's sad, really.  I can remember back in the late 1980s when I first got into N, I loved that book.  I knew the prices were ridiculous and a lot of the listed items weren't actually in stock, but it opened me up to a "master list" of what was out there in the world.   Remember, this was before the internet, of course.

With only 7 of 20 cars at list price, you might want to keep an eye on this page for those cars going lower too.

As long as the SP cars don't go on sale, I get to keep saying that I have NEVER bought anything directly from Walthers.

I'm pretty sure I have, but it was Terminal Hobby Shop and it was a time when Walthers was one of the major suppliers of N scale decals ...  :P
