(these are the ac4400cw-ish rebuilds of NS spartan cab C40-9's...)

I'm all in once they at least offer a Dash-9 (W or Spartan Cab) in the original NS paint scheme (instead of the Horse head) I have enough of horse head schemes in later GE variants (Gevos, Teir4) I'm not sure why they didn't start out with that scheme as so many Dash-9's still on the rails yet to be re-painted.   hence why I'm waiting.

Good question....   surprised they didn't do 3 +3  instead of 4 of one.  Did you notice one lacks unibrow???  Probably a blown turbo engine fire partial repaint?
