The thing I really like about using the Clifton branch as my prototype is the line was originally built as a narrow gauge line and was later converted to standard gauge, but retains a very narrow gauge feel with 6 tunnels, 3.5% grade on the mainline with 5.5% grade on the Freeport-Moran spur up to the Morenci mine. In the photo, you can see where the old narrow gauge line wound around the hills where the standard gauge line cut a tunnel. That would be fun to model those types of changes.
