I have a vision of Dan enveloped in Tuck tape from head to toe and stuck to the wall .Will that stuff take the paint off with the decal ? If so then it's time for 91 proof , and a bath of 91 % .

I used the facial tissue soaked in Micro-Sol trick. I was able to get about 99% of the decals off without totally ruining the paint. There is some paint missing, but I think I can patch it up OK.

Stickiest tape I know of. Used to tape vapour barrier seams. And also to repair tail lights.

I have often stripped and prepped resin models that need...help.  I use only baking soda to blast with, and soak in 99% alcohol won't hurt the resin or CA glue. Any other alcohol leaves a strange film.

I ended up fixing the decal mistake, but noticed a bigger issue with the paint on the other shell. I broke out my Badger sand blaster and removed about 95% of the paint. I then used a stiff bristle brush dipped in ELO and scrubbed any remaining areas. This worked well and I already reapplied the first coat of paint without issue.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Jeff, I tried baking soda before but that only clogged the sandblaster. Did you do anything special to prepare it? I was thinking of microwaving the baking soda first to remove moisture.
