I see something...
Did the pilot truck get flipped around?  It looks like the forward wheel is back closer to the front edge of the cylinders, and the rear wheel is set back away from the back of the cylinders.  On the prototype photo, it looks just the opposite.
It might just be camera angle, but it looks like the pilot truck should be moved forward (or maybe flipped around).

I see something, too, but I'm not sure it's as much the position of the pilot truck as it is the apparent stack/cylinders (mis)alignment; they should ve vertically aligned, see below. And I don't know how one would fix that without moving the cylinders back a smidge... but maybe it's just the angle of the photo, hard to tell.
Adam, that's quite a project you picked...

I believe the camera angle is doing it. That's a semi 3/4 view abd not a dead on side shot. Ill look at it tonight when i get back to the hotel and start working on it again.
Thanks Otto, it's slowly getting there. I took a chunk out of the boiler between the smoke box and sand dome.  I don't think ill be building another one of these lol.

One of my favorite artists, John Winfield, just released a painting of the 3463. I would think you need to get one :D Hope I'm not committing some kind of a violation posting this....

Otto,
Really?, John Winfield is my favorite artist as well and have met him and talked to him at several shows in Plano and Temple, TX. But I hate to correct you but the print with #3463 "where the west began" is about 2-3 years old, I know cause that's how long it has been hanging over the 30" wall above Kingman Canyon that I dubbed the "Winfield Wall". I have every "older" ATSF print and most of the "newer" prints but I have run out of room and swap out about 8 print now once a year!!!! Are you going to make the Salt Lake City NSE convention this year? I will be going with a local club member and two Aussies. Hope to met you some time.

Gordon, lol, so he's releasing the "limited edition" print now... I'm saving my limited wall space for So Cal scenes anyway. Unfortunately, I can't make Salt Lake, but maybe Kansas City in August?
