I'm sure you could find a way to lift the shells of you 3 pending locos if that happens. Or you could just run them without the shells seated properly.  :P

I'm just dumbfounded that you would be disappointed if they fixed them to be more accurate. I understand that you want them to match, but they do sit at the wrong height.

Either way, IM seems to prefer their locos sit too high , so I doubt this will a problem for you.

I had a few minutes this morning so I decided to pull out my IM B&O F3A and F7A units. I measured them with my machinists ruler and I get a height of barely 1 1/16" height. Which scales to 14'-2" prototype drawing 14'-1/2". I can live with a 1.5" error  i assume the drawings I checked are accurate but maybe I'm wrong.

Love how this thread drifted from SD40-2Ws to F units/ride height...  good ol' Railwire. (Side note my phone auto corrected Railwire to Failure.  :D )

On the topic of F units, I'd kill for some KCS FP9s... Southern Belle please!

As for the 40-2Ws those I am sure are very welcomed by our Canaderp modelers. (Sorry I had to... I watch too much AvE.)
I'd love a cab for a GP40 for a KCS unit though.

The FP9 I reserved has a TBD listed for at least a year now.

Heck, just reserve a Rapido... it will be out way before IM's and be better detailed.

If those measurements are accurate that is the fanaticalness I was referring to.  Lol.  What is 160th of an inch and a half.

Just think how easy it would be for them to release a GP38W and GP40W...

I rather have them done by Atlas.
