Where did Busted and Mined run the passenger RS-3s?  I do not remember seeing them. The only service photographs that I have seen of B&M passenger RS-3s were when they were in a yard somewhere, which never was identified. I have seen photographs of freight units' working trains, but never of a B&M passenger unit's working a train.
Could you be more specific when you refer to B&M "passenger" RS-3s?
Weren't all of the B&M RS-3s equipped with steam generators?

Adding on with the above, all the RS2s and RS3s (aside from 1500) were bought for passenger service. Unfortunately for them (and the GP7s) they were replaced very quickly in commuter service by the RDCs, after only 2-5 years hauling passengers. After that they were used in secondary freight traffic.

Here is a RS-3 built in 1955, now in freight service in 1972, but it still has the steam generator, or at least its exhaust and square thingy (intake?).

There was a discussion about the N scale RS-3 steam generators earlier.  Here are couple of related posts:

Here are couple more examples of B&M RS-3s with steam generator and in passenger service (leaving Boston's North Station in March 1954).
