Amtrak RDC-2 modifications.

I've been looking at Amtrak RDC-2s and can see that there were some modifications made from as-delivered, the most obvious is the window pattern.  Does anyone know or know of a resource that covers what type of modifications were done?

No help on topic, but I am now reminded of that huge gap between the "H" and "E" in "NORTH ERN.
