OMG, this building is nearly identical... or very, very close... to the former BofA in downtown Mt. Vernon, IL. Somewhat compressed, maybe, but the resemblance is striking. We drove by that bank just a couple of hours ago. Change the upper fascia to a faux river rock masonry finish, put a planter in the front corner, smoke the windows, and you have it!
Ed, the local equivalent was built in the '70s. It would be era OK for you, but it might be out of character for your region. I personally wouldn't worry that too much, as it's sort of the same thing here - old downtown, lots of old buildings, but nonetheless there are a couple of examples of "glass modern" built on teardown sites.
