I decided to visit the IHobby/Greenberg show today in Edison NJ. I got there when it opened, at 10a, and it ran until 4p. Tomorrow's hours are the same. Atlas, Kato, Athearn, Walthers, Broadway Limited and MRC were present. A handful of news.
BLI — the M1a required some minor deco corrections. They remain hopeful for an end-March delivery but it could slip into April. Either way, they are imminent. The stock car deco samples exist but they weren't on display. The 2016 catalog is due in a month and will have pilot photos of the pending models as well as new announcements.
Kato — painted samples of the SDP40F in Amtrak phase I, the new ATSF sleepers in Amtrak I, and the baggage car in Amtrak I were on display. The Amfleet II cars will be rerun in phase III, and the Amfleet I cars will be offered in phase III, both a year or two away.
Model Power — samples of the revamped Pacific in multiple schemes.
That was it for semi-new info in N.
