Nobody has mentioned how the ribs on the NSC car are tapered, being narrower at the top than the bottom.
The Greenbrier/Gunderson cars also have an eave strip that covers the tops of all the ribs, while the NSC car has the eave flush with the body side and the tops of the ribs are exposed.
