My point is....that photo that keeps getting posted seems to be a lone ranger, and particularly unlike ANYTHING BLMA presented prior to the production models coming off the container.   I *do agree* that it's how the car SHOULD be done--if that's an accurate depiction--but that doesn't change the fact that it was a big shift from what they were showing all along.  I think first and foremost the car should be done as it rolled out of the paint shop, then the other versions can come later if the manufacturer chooses to do so.

So really, despite what everyone thinks I actually think BLMA did things right with their production run based on that photo.   But their preproduction stuff just, ahem....wasn't an accurate representation of what their goals were.   I won't put so much trust in that anymore.  My fault.

BTW - I also don't hear any complaints about Trainworx hoppers which are much redder and lighter!!!  :)

Pat's recent PS2CD 4427 cu. ft. High side covered hoppers are excellent!!!  Just got another shipment of them!!!  The paint on these cars is superbly done and represents what I feel is a great base for a sun faded, weathered and tagged look on cars that would be in service today.   Thanks Pat...IMO, another home run!

From the sounds of it Craig knows that the Bx166's are often seen in these various states and having some of the newly announced patched cars better represent the sun faded, lighter shades is something is he shooting for in this next run.  I look forward to them and have made my reservations!   :D
Thank you,
Mike DeBerg
