Great news!

Hi towl1996,
have you ever run a brass loco?

I do not want to discourage any one who wants one to avoid it.
for the one I have to run and track and pull cars
I am going to be doing tune-up things to it.

If you use code 55 from Atlas...
the leading truck looks like it has tall flanges.
I have not measured it yet....

It does have on the #4 axle a 4 lobe cam for sound.

If I can, I may get time on Sunday.

I've been testing my L1 out Wednesday evening, over all I'm happy with it. My biggest complaint is the old school tender pickups. a piece of wire solder to the tender truck frame to rub the wheels for pickup and a piece of fine wire from the truck frame to inside the tender. I can tell you from experience it is a pain butt to re-solder the wheel wiper and wire going up to the tender.
A few running issues which could be from the track work on my test track.
The engine has good slow speed performance on straight dc
Not at all that happy with the LED color (yellow)
A bit of light leakage from the back of the front headlight.
The wiring harness plug is one of the smallest I have seen, it looks like it will be a cut and solder job to get a decoder installed.

These are gripes, but still if a win the lottery I would pickup a couple more.
