Yeah!

@thbguy  Michael, what is your 5-pass secret formula for the Alps-printed buff?  I was going to do white over metallic gold, but that is closer to imitation gold than buff.  I'm always willing to learn new techniques (assuming that my printer cooperates).  You know how temperamental Alps printers are!  :)

ALPS printers are VERY tempermental. In fact, tempermental doesn't begin to cover it. More like being married to a supermodel!
I have two, and access to a third: only one prints this color with any consistency. This "good" one prints a viable decal about 60% of the time. Not for the faint of heart.

I heard that there was a recent article about combining a white ALPS decal (background) over a color laser decal to get cleaner images and additional colors. I'm not a huge fan of double decaling, but the film I am using is pretty thin so I might experiment some more in the fall.

I tried white over gold, and yellow over gold. Then white and yellow over gold...
And then primer, and white and yellow... and on, and on.

More about that later. I've got to get to work!
