Did we lose the ability to embed larger pictures?
« on: November 12, 2014, 09:04:24 PM »
When attachments were enabled, we got that little popup box when you click to zoom on a picture.  But now I can't embed a large file anymore.

This image is 1455px wide which I reduced for the post to 320 using 'width' setting within the IMG tag. But when you click to expand it you only get what I assume is 1024px in the pop up instead of the full size pic inline with the post.

This used to work fine before we had attachments.  Is there any way to get it back?  Did I forget how to do it? :?

That pop up just scales to your screen size.

Ah, that makes sense except maybe how it decides what to do.  My laptop brings the pop-up (and it does get bigger if I go 'full screen' on Chrome, but my desktop doesn't get the pop-up, it goes full images even though the image doesn't fit.   :?  Oh, well no big deal, I only used that feature occasionally.

Thanks Tom.

Hmmm....I'm on a laptop with Chrome and when I click it, I get the popup (like you).  You're saying that if you had a bigger screen (a screen bigger than the image), you would not get the popup but get the full size image?

I didn't expect this to work like this, but it makes sense:  Popup - not enough room; Full size - enough room to display.
