On a similar note, whenever I see "Connie" being mentioned, the first thing coming to my mind is a the very elegant and graceful Constellation airliner.

OK, back to the real Challenger.  Don't know what Athearn did, but it runs great. Definitely something wrong when I first got it from MacDonald ave, Bklyn train shop.
