This should be interesting to follow, as I've seen some spray adhesives decompose over time and lose their tack. But that's not to say all spray adhesives do this; I suspect newer formulas have improved.
David,funny you should mention this.Just yesterday,I decided to rebuild an air powered BB machine gun I have for years.AS I took it apart,I found this brown,crumbly,dried cookie dough stuff holding the barrel and fake supressor on..I couldn't figure out what it was,then,I remembered that I had glued it 10+ years ago with 3M Super Weatherstrip Cement!! I always thought it was killer stuff,no more on long term projects..Literally,was like old,dried out brown plaster.
