I really like how they list the era for each unit. Saves some research time on just for the heck of it purchase.
Hell, I wouldn't mind a Super Fleet Santa Fe FP45 to go with my FVM ATSF GP60. I have no use for it, and it's several years beyond my 1983-86 era, but they are cool and something I drooled over in my teens back in the day.Can someone explain the models' road number, era, paint differences (if any), for example:#100: Era 1989-90#91: Era 1990-95#93: Era 1990-99#98: Era 1990-98Thanks,DFF
Except that I think the 1971 date on the #1 and #3 MILW units is wrong. Jason
I understand the era to be in line with the orange and black, as opposed to the UP scheme.
But not the Block Lettering. I believe that wouldn't be until '75. And to say 1971+ for the other schemes is misleading as they would have been repainted into the Block Lettering. Not a big deal, I'm just making a point about trusting manufacturers vs. doing your own research.I had picked up an undec from the first run to do in MILW, but I couldn't fabricate an electronic bell that looked right so it's still on my desk. If these come with a beacon, that sound price might be too hard to pass up.Jason
Maybe CN acquired them with the WC? WC ran some F45 units.
Saw the sound for $140, might have to get me a pair in BN.
