I'm not sure I understand the comment about peeling off the paint underneath the Pledge?
Reading thought it a few times it seems like this issues may be more related to painting on clear plastic, over coating with Future and then having some of the paint come off the clear plastic when pulling the masking.
I've never heard anyone having any issues like this in regards to model trains.
