NS Stack Train hit a tractor-trailer and derailed some cars, but everything stayed upright.  This is the ex-RDG Lurgan Line between Grantham and Boiling Springs PA

And in other news, NS has just processed a request for an oversized load to cross its tracks in Cumberland County.  Wonder who forgot to call whom?

Read the news story in the second link provided.  It will give you an idea of how seriously uneducated the public is about railroads.

From comments made by someone in the traffic waiting near crossing, the truck was having an issue making the turn and had to back up to try again.  It was at that time the lights came on, gates down and one blow of the horn.  BAM !  Had the truck made the turn, we wouldn't be wondering why the general public doesn't understand out trains operate.  I am surprised why they didn't ask why they didn't swerve to miss the truck

How dare that train travel on its own property. Oh, the insanity!
