This is an early Michigan wheel loader. I would guess its from the early 60's, but I have to do more research on it. The thing is just as cute as a button. Looking at the prices on eBay of the much more modern GHQ Cat loader, I think this might be a winner. The body (everything but the bucket and wheels) measures less than 4 feet wide.

I can take measurments and more detailed photos if you are interested, but only for the next two months. The machine serves as snow removal equipment for a local parking lot then dissapears for the summer.

Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I still see enough of those around to justify having them on any modern layout.

Well anyone with a layout that is based on the mid-60's on.

Like Daniel said those front-end loaders have been around for along time.

I would love to have one for my layout.

And the good thing is that they haven't changed all that much.

These should be about as common and/or popular as the D2.  There are still quite a few of these still around, in fact in my area, way more common than the D2's.  Every small rock quarry, many trucking outfits and most scrapyards would have one or two of these around.

Sign me up.  And this time I actually hope to get one, considering the D2s slipped away from Kleins' stock before I could order any.

I will have to try and get pictures of the two CASE loaders the MD & DE has. They are ancient (one more so than the other).
