Alco C-430 - Take II

Hi
I wasn't happy with the way the hood went together on my C-430, so I made a new long hood with fewer joins, looks better already. This was a lot easier than what I did last time. At present she would represent a standard C-430. I still have to lower the air intakes so she represents M&E 17, a former NYC unit.
Cheers

Still not tested Daniel. I'm confident they'll work with a bit of tweaking.

Looks nice, hope fully the Atlas guys are looking.
Steve, in the assembled photo, the dynamic brake section is darker then the rest of the model, is that taken from the C424 shell?

Thanks guys.
Fred, yes, the dynamic brake section is from the LL C-424 shell.
Scott, the joins I did last night weren't so good! I worked late last night to lower the central air intakes. Looked good till I saw the photos this morning. I'll tidy that up tonight. As yet I've primed nothing. The darker grey roof section is the primer Life-Like put on their undec models. Here's the photo of the lowered air intakes, actually a second set of intakes from another shell.
More soon.
Cheers

The joints are not that bad, they will look a lot better when primed. I have always had issues making straght abuting joints, which is why Bryan is milling the sides for my FGE box.
