ARA Trans-Australian Railway Centenary Train by

Not my photo, but I have permission to re-post.
Taken just after at 8.00am this morning the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) chartered special to commemorate the Centenary of the turning of the first sod for the 1690km east west Trans-Australian Railway, leaves Adelaide for Port Augusta, as it goes through suburban Dudley Park station.
The train comprises of Pacific National's 9305, Queensland Rail National's 6022, SCT's CSR004, CFCLA's G512, Genesee and Wyoming GWU004 and Pacific National's NR18 (Indian Pacific livery), locomotives and operators who currently operate on the Trans-Australian Railway. All are GEs except for CSR004 which was built by CSR Ziyang in China and G512 which is an older EMD product. The irony is that it was rumoured the catering was sponsored by the local EMD licensee.
