U36C or C36-7?

Can anyone tell me if Katos C30-7 would be correct to be used as a C36-7 or U36C? I seem to remember something about the late U boats and early Dash 7s sharing external details but I'm no expert on the matter...

Here's off of Wiki, which seems to be relatively correct from my recollection.

I recall Atlas releasing the U33/36C in HO as a dual model, do to their closeness to each other.  I don't recall which one of the C designated models had the large square "lump" on the long hood behind the cab.

All U type locaomotives predat the C's. The C30-6 is a good starting point for a C36-7. There is a magaziner article quite a while back about converting an HO Kato C30 to a C36-7.

The most obvious difference is the bump out on both sides of the radiator area on the -7 models. The U series did not have them. You could probably kitbash a U30C into a U33/U36C, using the radiator "wing" from a C30-7.

Thanks for the info guys, I know the basics of when the U series was built and when the Dash-7 line replaced them, I just wasn't sure if a late U36C was anything like a C30-7 or C36-7. I've found out elsewhere that the C30-7 could stand in almost perfectly for a C36-7 but I had no idea about the U-Boats.
