1950s RR Station parking - paved?

I am finally about done with my N Scale Architect laser NP depot kit.  And as I rough out the spot for it near my mainline,
I'm in a quandry about how to arrange for parking of automobiles.  I'm hoping some folks on here have good definitive photos,
or even better, good definitive MEMORIES!
This is supposed to be a small-town NP station in the 1950s.  We're not talking Seattle or Portland here.

I've looked at scads of photos of depots, and I still can't really find any that tell me whether it would be normal
to have a paved parking area.  The photos of the 1930s and earlier clearly show lots of dirt, few cars, lots of horse
and buggy, and people on foot.  But all the photos of the 1950s seem to never show the side or back areas of these smaller
stations, where you might park a car when you came to get on the train.

So... was it still mostly "dirt" in the 1950s?

Thanks!

N Scale Architect laser NP depot kit?

They make a Northern Pacific depot?

To answer your question, crushed rock was the norm in most cases along with some dirt.

Thanks, I was kind of guessing that.
And yes, they did a special run of an NP depot.  You have to buy it from the NPRHS web site.  If you go there and look in
the online "store", you'll find it.

Max -
I am a member of the NPRHA modeling committee.  We work with the manufacturers providing plans, photos and references materials for projects, like color drift cards for painted models, for instance.
The depots we have had manufactured were drawn by an NPRHA member and the laser cutting outsourced, however they are not done by N Scale Architect, just as an FYI.

I do apologize for this error.  I just checked the box, and of course, you are correct.
All this time, I was under the impression that N Scale Arch  did these.
I stand corrected, and sorry for the error!
